A Christmas card box is located in the foyer with Christmas cards from members to each other. Please be sure to check the box for possible cards given to you. Cards are filed alphabetically by last name. If you need help, please contact a hostess.
Christmas for Christ is a fund-raising program of Home Missions. The funds, received as special offerings during the Christmas season, are used to enlist, train, and financially support missionaries who are sent to establish churches in unevangelized and underevangelized areas. The funds support other Home Misisons programs as well. There is still time to donate to this program through New Life. If you would like to make a donation to this program, please notate your checks "Christmas for Christ" and place in the offering.
Join us on Friday, December 31, at 10 pm, for a Watchnight Fellowship in the New Life gym. This is sure to be a great time to meet new people, play games, and spend time together before bringing in the New Year. Please bring a soup to share, or a dessert to share. Drinks can be brought as well. If you will be attending, please contact Jan Madden at jan@rjmadden.com to let her know what you will be bringing.
If you are missing a coat, please check the lost and found located in the storage room in the gym. Several coats have lost their owners, if they are unable to find their owners, we will donate them to charity.
The B.R.E.A.D. (Bible Reading Enhances Any Day) program is designed to help you read the entire Bible through in one year. The reading schedule is re-tooled every year to provide fresh inspiration. The children’s reading schedule is an abbreviated schedule using books of the Bible that will help a child develop a love for God’s Word. Adult bread charts and Adult Spanish bread charts are available in the foyer. Children’s bread charts are available in Sunday school.
Ladies Prayer and Bible Study is canceled for the remainder of the year. It will resume on Tuesday, January 4, at 9:15 am. If you are interested in attending or would like more information, please contact Arletta Spencer.

As we enjoy the holiday season, let us remember to take time for God, family, and personal rest. This is a good opportunity to refocus, clear away undue clutter, and refocus on priorities.
January will be a month of devotion in which we will focus on prayer and fasting. The church schedule will be simplified. Beginning January 9 we will begin a time of coordinated fasting for 21 days. Everyone is encouraged to participate to the extent possible. On January 30 we will begin revival services with Doug Klinedinst. More details will be provided.
Next Sunday night I will be addressing the Church with regard to where God is leading us in 2011. I urge everyone to be here. If you are unable to attend this service, please listen to the podcast or purchase a CD or DVD from our bookstore.

Thank you for the pastoral appreciation cards and birthday cards over the past two months. I would also like once again to thank you for the hard work of choir, musicians, and other volunteers who represented New Life so well at the General Conference in Houston and helped to make it a great success. Sister Bernard and I have received many compliments about you, and we appreciate all of you very much. Of course, we are excited about the leadership of Brother and Sister Shaw and are thankful for their vision, burden, and labor as pastor and pastor's wife.
All ladies of New Life are invited to attend a Christmas card exchange, Wednesday, December 15, beginning at 7 pm. This is a wonderful evening of fellowship and friendship. Flyers are available with more details. If you are interested in being a hostess and decorating a table, contact Pamala Green. Please plan on joining us during this delightful time of meeting new friends.
Music Ministry is sponsoring a Christmas Coffee Shop on Friday, December 17, from 7 to 9 pm, at New Life. Contact Jared or Rachel Wood to purchase your tickets and for more information.

Tonight Children’s Ministry will present Back to the Manger. A punch and cookie reception will be served in the gym following the play. This is always a great time, and it is a wonderful opportunity to bring visitors.
