“This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it” (Psalm 118:24). This is a day of rejoicing! Living with an attitude of thanksgiving and praise is the best way to live. Let us lift our voices and hearts in exuberant praise to God today.

Please continue to pray for our building program. We are making good progress, but there are many details to be worked out. We are working on a massive publicity campaign, and we are praying for God’s favor on these efforts. Also, if you made a commitment to Building the Vision (our capital campaign), your faithfulness is needed. Together, we can build the vision God has placed in our hearts. If you have not made a commitment to our building campaign, there will be another opportunity soon.

Next week, March 22 and 23, is the Regional Revival Conference for the Austin/Hill Country, Southwest, and Central Coastal Bend Sections of the South Texas District, at the Embassy Suites Conference Center in San Marcos. The services will be Thursday and Friday night at 7 pm. A children’s service will be on Friday evening. There will be a youth service on Saturday at 1 pm.

Three Ways to Celebrate Easter 2012

Posted in Events on Saturday, March 10th, 2012

New Life Church will celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus Christ with three unique worship services on Easter Sunday, April 8. We welcome you, your family, and friends to join us as we rejoice in the hope Jesus Christ brings.

Worship at sunrise, 7:00 a.m.
This intimate service commemorates the first Resurrection Sunday when the followers of Jesus discovered His resurrection early in the morning. The service will include a reading of the Resurrection story from Scripture, classic Resurrection hymns, Communion, and a sermon by Bishop David K. Bernard.

Worship with family, 11:00 a.m.
Our regularly scheduled morning worship service will have a celebratory format featuring the New Life choir and sign choir followed by a sermon by Pastor Rodney Shaw. There also will be a children’s service under the direction of our Children’s Ministry. The children’s service will travel the Road to Emmaus with the early believers!

Celebration of the Resurrection in art, 6:30 p.m.
The evening service will be an expressive service, celebrating the Resurrection in various forms of art, including vocal music, instrumental music, the New Life Choir, spoken word, and other artistic presentations
