About Pastor Shaw
Rodney Shaw is the co-pastor of New Life Church. Pastor Shaw frequently preaches in our services, provides pastoral counseling and guidance, and is the primary teacher of our adult Sunday school class. He also directs much of the administration of the church and oversees and gives guidance to all of New Life's various ministries.
In addition to his ministry at New Life, he is the editor of the Vision, the bimonthly magazine of the South Texas District United Pentecostal Church, and the Forward, the bimonthy magazine for the ministers of the United Pentecostal Church International. He has written two books, Facets of Faith and People of Promise, and many published articles. He also teaches leadership and ministers seminars both in the United States and overseas.
Pastor Shaw is an ordained minister with the United Pentecostal Church International and has earned a master of arts in theological studies from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary and a diploma in theology from Texas Bible College. He is currently pursuing post-graduate studies at Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary.
He and his wife, Stacey, have two children, Taylor and Brooke.
