Alcohol & Drug Education

"Bringing life in focus one lesson at a time"

New Life offers an alcohol and drug education program (ACTS, Alcohol Chemical Treatment Series) for those who are seeking deliverance from alcohol and drug addiction and for those who want a community of support to help them maintain their freedom. ACTS is approved by the State of Texas as an alternative to AA and NA for probation and parole requirements.

ACTS is a curriculum-based, twelve-week program that offers a holistic approach to recovery from substance abuse that encompasses the emotional, physical, and spiritual aspects of an individual. Each lesson contains educational information that covers the physical, psychological, and emotional changes associated with alcohol or chemical abuses. Our goal is to give information and tools to each participant that can immediately be applied to his or her own life.

We believe that God heals in many ways—at times instantaneously—but often over a period of time. We are thankful that we have seen God's healing hand in our 12-week classes. We are even more grateful that, as we have been been delivered, God has then used us to help others.

"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God" (2 Corinthians 1:3-4).
